Lamb Cutlets — Lamskotelette

Bushveld sheep is any time as tasty as Karoo sheep. The preparation time for this dish is three hours, but at least it gives you time to down a beer or two.
Bosveld-skaap is enige tyd net so lekker soos Karoo-skaap. Die voorbereidingstyd vir hierdie gereg is drie ure, maar dit gee jou minstens tyd vir 'n ekstra bier of twee.

Ingredients:
12 lamb cutlets
75g freshly chopped mint
1 teaspoon rosemary
125g brown sugar
1 litre vinegar
seasoning to taste

Method:

  • Trim the lamb cutlets, leaving very little fat.
  • Mix the rest of the ingredients together.
  • Marinate cutlets in this mixture for 3 hours.
  • Season and grill on the barbeque.
  • Boil and reduce the marinade by half. Strain and serve separately.
  • Bestanddele:
    12 lamskotelette
    75g vars gekapte kruisement
    1 teelepel roosmaryn
    125g bruin suiker
    1 liter asyn
    geurmiddels na smaak

    Metode:

  • Sny meeste vet van die lamskotelette af.
  • Meng res van die bestanddele.
  • Marineer lamskotelette vir 3 ure in hierdie mengsel.
  • Geur lamskotelette en braai op kole of in skottelbraaier.
  • Kook en verminder marinade met die helfte. Gooi deur sif en bedien apart.
