Finger-licking Chuck - Vingerleklekker dikrib
Residents of the beautiful Far North of the country, enjoy their meat more than anywhere else in the country. René Stegman, wife of a farmer in the Vaalwater-region, knows how to make a finger-licking chuck.
Bosvelders geniet hulle vleis meer as op enige ander plek in die land. RenéStegman, 'n boervrou van Vaalwater, weet hoe om vingerleklekker dikrib te maak.
Ingredients:
1½kg chuck
1 onion (chopped)
125ml vinegar
125ml syrup
10ml coffee powder
Bisto
salt and pepper to taste
Method:
Fry chuck until brown and cook until tender.
Mix vinegar, syrup, coffee powder, salt and pepper. Mix with meat.
Fry onion and add the meat to it.
Thicken sauce with Bisto.
Serve with rice and salad.

Bestanddele:
1½kg dikrib
1 uit (gekap)
125ml asyn
125ml stroop
10ml koffiepoeier
Bisto
sout en peper na smaak
Metode:
Braai dikrib tot bruin en kook dan tot sag.
Meng asyn, stroop, koffiepoeier, sout en peper. Meng met vleis.
Braai uie en voeg vleis by.
Verdik sous met Bisto.
Bedien met rys en slaai.
