Wine Pudding — Wynpoeding

Jelly is always a winner when you are in a hurry to prepare a pudding for the Sunday meal. But it can get boring. Try this delicious variation.

Ingredients:
1 tin condensed milk
½ cup wine
2½ tablespoons gelatine
1 packet strawberry jelly

Method:

  • Soak the gelatine in ½ cup cold water en then dissolve in 1 cup boiling water. Let it cool down. Stir in the condensed milk and then the wine.
  • Pour in a flat square dish. Put in refrigerator to set.
  • Dissolve jelly powder in 2 cups boiling water and let it cool down.
  • Cut the set mixture in squares and add to the jelly. Put in refrigerator to set.
  • Serve with custard or whipped cream.
  • Bestanddele:
    1 blikkie konsensmelk
    ½ koppie wyn
    2½ eetlepels gelatien
    1 pakkie aarbeijellie

    Metode:

  • Week die gelatien in ½ koppie koue water en los op in 1 koppie kookwater. Laat afkoel en roer eers die kondensmelk en dan die wyn in.
  • Laat dit stol in 'n vierkantige plat bak.
  • Maak die jellie aan met 2 koppies kookwater en laat afkoel.
  • Sny die gestolde mengsel in blokkies en voeg by die aarbeijellie. Laat dit stol.
  • Bedien met vla of geklopte room.
