Ingredients:
45g rice rinsed with cold water
1 teaspoon butter
sugar to taste
pinch of ground nutmeg
pinch of salt
600ml milk
Method:
Sprinkle rice in a deep ovenproof dish. Add just enough water to cover the rice. Bake in a pre-heated oven at 180ºC for approximately 10 minutes or until the rice has absorbed the water. Remove dish from oven.
Grease the edge of the baking dish with butter. Add the sugar, nutmeg and salt to the rice and mix. Add the milk and stir. Sprinkle a little nutmeg over.
Bake for 2 hours or until the pudding is thick and creamy.
If you are on a diet, replace butter with low fat margarine and use sweetener and fat free milk.

Metode:
Sit rys in 'n diep oondbak en gooi net genoeg water in om die rys te bedek. Bak in 'n voorverhitte oond by 180ºC vir sowat 10 minute of totdat rys die water geabsorbeer het. Haal bak uit oond.
Smeer rand van die oondbak met botter. Voeg suiker, neut en sout by rys en meng. Voeg melk by en roer. Sprinkel bietjie neut op.
Bak vir 2 ure of totdat die poeding dik en romerig is.
As jy op 'n dieet is, vervang die botter met laevet margerien en gebruik 'n versoeter en vetvrye melk.
