Hettie's Chocolate Mousse

Ingredients:
50ml custard powder
50ml cocoa
175ml sugar
500ml milk
15ml gelatine
30ml cold water
1 tin cold evaporated milk

Method:

  • Sieve custard powder, cocoa and sugar together.
  • Add milk and stir until disolved. Bring to the boil. Stir regularly until the mixture thickens. Remove from heat.
  • Sprinkle gelatine onto cold water and mix with the warm cocoa mixture. Let it cool down.
  • Whisk evaporated milk until it is double its volume and fold the chocolate mixture in.
  • Put in fridge for 1 hour.
  • Bestanddele:
    50ml vlapoeier
    50ml kakao
    175ml suiker
    500ml melk
    15ml gelatien
    30ml koue water
    1 blik koue ingedampte melk

    Metode:

  • Sif vlapoeier, kakao en suiker saam.
  • Voeg melk by en roer tot opgelos. Verhit tot kookpunt. Roer gereeld totdat mengsel verdik en verwyder van hitte.
  • Strooi gelatien oor koue water en roer by warm kakaomengsel. Laat afkoel.
  • Klop ingedampte melk tot dubbel in volume en vou die sjokolademengsel daarby in.
  • Verkoel in yskas.
