Peanut Salad — Grondboontjieslaai

Try this delicious peanut salad next time you have a braai.
Sit hierdie grondboontjieslaai voor as jy weer ’n vleisbraai hou.

Ingredients:
120g Cheddar cheese
1 pineapple
4 celery stalks
30g roasted peanuts
1 cup fresh cream
juice of 1 lemon
seasoning
sugar

Method:

  • Clean the celery and cut into dices. Cut the cheese and pineapple. Mix everything and add the peanuts and sugar.
  • Pour the cream onto the salad and fold in. Blend in the lemon juice to thicken the cream.
  • Season to taste.
  • Fruit yoghurt may be used in the place of the cream.
  • Bestanddele:
    120g Cheddarkaas
    1 pynappel
    4 selderystingels
    30g geroosterde grondboontjies
    1 koppie vars room
    sap van 1 suurlemoen
    speserye
    suiker

    Metode:

  • Maak die seldery skoon en sny op. Sny kaas en pynappel in stukkies. Meng alles en voeg grondboontjies en suiker by.
  • Gooi room oor slaai en vou in. Meng suurlemoensap by om room te verdik.
  • Geur na smaak.
  • Vrugtejoghurt kan pleks van room gebruik word.
