Cole Slaw - Koolslaai

Cole Slaw goes well with most seafoods or serve at your next braai.
Koolslaai is heerlik saam met die meeste seekos of bedien saam met braaivleis.

Ingredients:
1 cabbage
1 onion
1-3 stalks celery
1 cup mayonnaise
2 tablespoons cider vinegar
2 teaspoons sugar
1 teaspoon English mustard powder
salt and pepper to taste
poppy seeds
Optional: almond flakes and/or currants

Method:

  • Chop or grate the cabbage, onion and celery.
  • Combine the rest of the ingredients and mix with the slaw.
  • Chill several hours before serving to allow flavours to blend.
  • Bestanddele:
    1 koolkop
    1 ui
    1-3 selderystingels
    1 koppie mayonnaise
    2 eetlepels appelasyn
    2 teelepels suiker
    1 teelepel Engelse mosterdpoeier
    sout en peper na smaak
    papawersaad
    Opsioneel: amandels en/of korente

    Metode:

  • Rasper of kap die kool, ui en seldery fyn.
  • Meng res van bestanddele en meng met slaai.
  • Verkoel 'n paar uur voor opdiening sodat geure goed kan meng.
