Cream Sauce — Roomsous

This lovely sauce can be served on poached eggs, haddock fillets or kippers.
Hierdie heerlike roomsous kan op gebakte eier, skelvisfilette of
gerookte harring bedien word.

Ingredients:
3 eggs
250ml cream
125ml sugar
100ml vinegar
5ml salt
5ml mustard powder
3ml cayenne pepper
pinch of pepper

Method:

  • Beat all the ingredients together.
  • Heat in a double boiler while beating till mixture thickens.
  • Pour immediately into a cold container and serve.
  • Bestanddele:
    3 eiers
    250ml room
    125ml suiker
    100ml asyn
    5ml sout
    5ml mosterdpoeier
    3ml rooi peper
    knippie peper

    Metode:

  • Klits al die bestanddele saam.
  • Verhit in 'n pot oor water en roer totdat mengsel verdik.
  • Gooi dadelik in 'n koue houer en bedien.
