Ingredients:
1kg yellow carrots
4 large potatoes
1 large onion
1½ litre chicken stock
250ml cream
6 tablespoons margarine
1 teaspoon dried thyme
pinch cayenne pepper
salt to taste
Method:
Skin and cut carrots in slices.
Skin potatoes and cut in cubes.
Chop onion fine.
Fry onion in margarine until soft.
Add carrots, potatoes, thyme and Cayenne pepper and fry for 5-10 minutes.
Add chicken stock and heat until it reach boiling-point. Simmer with lid on for about 25 minutes until vegetables are soft.
Pulp the mixture in food processor.
Add salt. Stir cream in and serve warm.

Metode:
Skil en sny wortels in skyfies.
Skil aartappels en sny in blokkies.
Maak ui skoon en kap fyn.
Braai uie in margarien in swaarboomkastrol tot sag.
Voeg wortel, aartappel, tiemie en rooipeper by en braai dit 5-10 minute lank saam.
Voeg hoenderaftreksel by en verhit tot kookpunt. Prut ongeveer 25 minute lank met deksel op totdat groente sag is.
Verpulp die mengsel in voedselverwerker.
Voeg sout by. Roer room by en bedien warm.
