Ingredients:
1 egg
1 tin sweet-corn
2 celery stalks
1 sweet green pepper
60g raw prawns
1 fresh green chilli
6 spring onions
60g flour
10g baking powder
seasoning to taste
oil for deep frying
Method:
Grind the onions, peppers and chilli to a paste.
Clean the prawns and chop finely.
Dice the celery finely and add sweet-corn.
Place all the above ingredients in a bowl. Break the egg into the mixture and stir.
Add the flour, baking powder and seasoning. Stir well to form a smooth batter.
Bring the oil to smoking point and turn to a lower heat.
Drop in large spoonfuls of the batter. Deep fry until golden brown, turning when necessary.
Drain well. Serve hot with chilli sauce.

1 vars groen brandrissie

60g meelblom
10g bakpoeier
geurmiddels na smaak

Metode:
Maal die uie, groenrissie en brandrissie tot 'n pasta.
Maak garnale skoon en kap fyn.
Sny seldery fyn en voeg suikermielies by.
Sit al bogenoemde bestanddele in 'n mengbak.. Breek die eier in die mengsel en roer.
Voeg meel, bakpoeier en geurmiddels by. Meng goed om 'n gladde beslag te vorm.
Verhit olie totdat dit begin rook en stel hitte laer.
Skep opgehoopte lepels vol beslag in die olie. Diepbraai tot goudbruin; draai om wanneer nodig.
Dreineer goed. Bedien warm met brandrissiesous.
