Carrot Casserole - Wortelgebak
Carrots are normally not a favourite of children, while moms are of the opinion that it can improve your eye sight. Try this recipe, because even children will like it.

Ingredients:
1½kg carrots
salt water
125ml mayonnaise
12,5ml chopped onions
12,5ml horse-radish
salt and pepper (to taste)
62,5ml bread crumbs
25ml butter
paprika
parsley (chopped)
Method:
Cook whole carrots in salt water until soft. Keep liquid and cut carrots in the length. Arrange carrots in greased casserole.
Mix 62,5 ml carrot water, mayonnaise, onions, horse-radish, salt and pepper.
Pour this sauce over carrots, sprinkle with bread crumbs, dab with butter and then sprinkle with paprika and parsley.
Bake in open casserole for 15-20 minutes at 190ºC in a pre-heated oven.

Bestanddele:
1½kg wortels
soutwater
125ml mayonnaise
12,5ml gekapte uie
12,5ml peperwortel
sout en peper na smaak
62,5ml broodkrummels
25ml botter
paprika
pietersielie (gekap)
Metode:
Kook heel wortels in soutwater tot sag. Bêre vloeistof en sny wortels in lengte deur. Pak op boom van gesmeerde oondskottel.
Meng 62,5 ml wortelwater, mayonnaise, uie, peperwortel, sout en peper.
Gooi sous oor wortels, sprinkel broodkrummels oor en skep kolletjies gesmelte botter bo-oor. Sprinkel dan paprika en pietersielie oor.
Bak onbedek vir 15-20 minute in voorverhitte oond by 190ºC.
